Finally, some PR….
A few months ago, while working on the big Gucci thing in Tokyo, we had the opportunity to show off our all-Apple mobile HD workflow. Stamp and I even gave a talk at the Ginza Apple store, and apparently it went very well. But I totally forgot about the article that appeared on the Apple Japan Pro site!

Full PDF of article. In Japanese of course, which makes it much cooler.
Level 3 Second Life
Here are a few photos of a project we are building in Second Life for Level 3. (Level 3 –#14 on the Wired 40 — is basically the internet backbone.) We enlisted Sung Ho Kim, an architect that also teaches at the school of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University, to help out. Second Life isn’t all that advanced as far as what/how you can build, but you can still do some pretty fun stuff. And, if you so desire, you can be a furry.
Plastic Factory

Our good friends over at Big Plastic Factory have updated.
Future of Marketing Conference
I was a panelist on the Technology session of the Future of Marketing Conference in NY last week. A lot of other good people on my panel — Stefan Olander/Nike, Johan Eidhagen/Nokia, Chris Colborn/RGA, Jeff Kling/Euro RSCG and others. Unfortunately, due to the format, we didn’t get very deep into the issues. I would have loved to spend more time talking about how technology is transforming places like ours. We were fortunate to have started our company during the digital revolution, so we embraced technology from day one as a tool for exploration and new creation. Not as an expense — although it is a big one. It seems there are still a lot of agencies and production houses that existed before that time, and although giving it lip service, have yet to embrace the digital democracy. But resistance is futile. I see our guys exploring new areas every day that lead to unique ways of thinking about a project/a campaign/ a brand. If you embrace it, technology fuels creative.

Tokyo to St. Louis
CoreAv spent time in Tokyo, now Tokyo is spending some time at CoreAv. Four really smart people from ADK, one of the largest agencies in Japan, were here a for a weekend to work on a new business pitch. 20 hours of travel to get here, and then it snowed. Luckily, all the work got done and they made it back in time for their pitch. Hoping they win it so we can celebrate with Saki at the bar. If they don’t, though, we can always simply drown our sorrows in Bud.
** EDITOR’S NOTE: Impress your Japanese friends with knowledge of Dry Sherry and Lemoncello
Popcycle Spot
Here’s a pitch spot I dusted off for the masses. A quick, five second piece for Popcycle scooters.
Basically an excuse to throw in as much pop culture into a short amount of time as possible.
Environmentals
A series of experiments in perspective and setting. There is no stated, intentional outcome.
They may move into motion in another form, they may not.
